  • In the summer of ’74 I went to day camp and heard my first ghost stories up on a wooded hill that looked out over a state psychiatric hospital that was fully operational at the time. In 2004 after it had been shuttered, but before it was completely demolished, I stopped by for a visit. Marlboro Psychiatric Center in Marlboro, NJ, photographed in 2004 before demolition and 16 years after it was closed.
